I’m hoping to make the prayer journal shown in this post by Julia at Blissfully Content. Such a beautiful post and a wonderful idea for a simple yet beautiful prayer journal. I already have a journal that I use (that isn’t full yet), so I’m just planning to dress it up a bit.

Soraya,
Thank you so much for your comment! Blessings to you!

Angela,
That's great that you were able to find some of the books at the library! I really miss the excellent library we had when we lived in a bigger city. The library in our nearby town has almost nothing. Just a teeny tiny building without any books I'm interested in. 🙂
Have a blessed new year!

Joy, thank you for the book list! I love hearing about what other people are reading. You gave me some great ideas for my reading this year! Some of the titles I looked up in our library catalogue and they were actually available! I find this a great way to preview books…then if I absolutely love the book, and it's a resource I know I'll reach for again, I will purchase it.

Joyfilleddays,
Thanks for the encouragement about the books on my list! I know, it's really too bad when good books go out of print. Hope your weekend is blessed!

I have read most of the books on your list and they are truly great reads! I have not been able to find "No Ordinary Home" as it is out of print. But I have heard good things about it. Happy Reading!!

Jedidja,
Thanks! If I see books I like mid-year, I just go ahead and read those, too, if I have time! 🙂
Deanna,
I know, it's too bad that book is out of print! My husband finds all of our books from various sources. I think he said he found that book on Amazon (used). It was originally $25, but he put it in his cart and waited, and after several months the price went way down to an acceptable level (and then you can use Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks to get it for free!). But yes, I noticed that the prices on that book right now are ridiculous. I'm not sure why they even list books for that much.
MamaHen,
You're welcome! 🙂
KellyinPa,
Reading the Proverb of the day is a great idea, too. I'm thinking of incorporating that into our school day.
Maria,
I do that too, sometimes (lose interest). Whatever works! 🙂 I pray that your year is blessed, dear friend!

It is a good idea to plan ahead. But I find myself not wanting to read some of the books I have chosen because I just loose interest.
So instead, I just wait and see what develops.
Your bible study time sounds doable. I pray that 2012 will be a year filled with more memories and more joy!

Thank you for sharing the bible reading plan. I was wondering what I was going to do this year and this is different from what I've used in the past and I think it will work for me. I also love Psalms and Proverbs and will be reading the Proverb of the day and Psalms on the weekends.

Thanks for the Bible Reading plan suggestions. I am trying to decided what to do with our kids this year as far as Bible reading in school and this looks very doable.

I looked up No Ordinary Home on Amazon and it is so expensive! I am wondering if you know of a less expensive source.
Your list looks great – my husband and one of my daughters read through Radical. I am going to try to get it read this year.
Like you I have read some of the books on your list but need to reread them. It's great to get your vision refreshed!

So nice idea. But if mid-year new books come out then … are those for 2013. I'm going to look in the catalog which books I'd like to read …
