Making Others Happy

“The world needs happiness. There is a great deal of sadness everywhere. The Bible is meant to make people happy. Joy bells ring through it. The mission of the gospel is to create joy. The angel’s announcement of good tidings of great joy goes forth today on every breeze.

The love of Christ changes darkness to light, despair to hope, tears to laughter, sorrow to rejoicing in every land. It is the mission of every Christian to be a happiness maker. We have the power to add some gladness to the world. We can do this in a thousand ways–by being joyful Christians ourselves, making our lives a sweet song; by telling others the joyful things of the Word of God; by being kind to all we meet; by comforting sorrow, lifting burdens from others, cheering away sadness and weariness, and scattering blessings wherever we go.”
