Heart Felt Truths Nativity Advent Calendar Review + Promo Code!
Back in the spring, a friend of mine told me about the beautiful Easter banner from heart Felt truths . It was almost Easter, but I ordered a DIY kit just in time to quickly put it together and use it. Whitney, the owner of heart FELT truths, was very sweet and her shipping is very fast!
Since our family enjoyed the Easter banner so much, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to review Whitney’s beautiful Nativity Advent Calendar! There’s so much that I love about this calendar.
Again, the shipping was super fast, and the calendar arrived neatly tied with a ribbon. It was like receiving an early Christmas gift!
The advent calendar comes with instructions for using it and the Christmas story you read each day as you add figures to the calendar.
I received a completed calendar, so all of the pieces were already cut out and assembled for me. As a busy mom, I appreciate that there is no prep work at all for me! DIY kits are also available if you’d like to put one together yourself.
The calendar comes with a pocket in the back for a dowel rod. I just happened to have a dowel rod (that I bought a couple years ago for another project) that fit perfectly inside the pocket:
If you don’t want to use a dowel rod, you can also mount the calendar directly to the wall with 3M photo strips.
Before you get started with your daily advent readings, your calendar will be blank, like this:
Every day when you do the reading, you add a new piece to the calendar. There are 25 pieces included that help you count down to Christmas Day.
Each day you will read a new line from the story and add the corresponding part to the calendar.
The readings are designed so that you always start at the beginning of the story and then read up to the current day. In this way, children will learn and even memorize the Christmas story! I love this!
I also love the bits of glitter on the sky. There are several different color options for the calendars, but the Tan Starry Sky Scene one is my favorite. I think it was the glitter I was most drawn to! 🙂

This is so cute. I can't get one this year, but maybe for next year. We did something similar from Focus on the Family last year, but it was disposable so I don't have it anymore 🙁
