I love all the stripes and those Keds are super cute! I look a nice looking, comfy shoe.
Also, I'm interested in the L'BRI makeup. I've been looking into Cowboy Dirt (found out about it through your blog) as my Mary Kay is running out and I'm slowly switching to more natural body cosmetics and toiletries, from top to bottom. 🙂
I also have sensitive eyes and I'm happy with my Mary Kay mascara but I want something else, something more natural. I'd love some more information on Cowboy Dirt vs. L'BRI. Thanks!
Ginny Gafford says
I meant Cowgirl Dirt. 🙂
Joy Kincaid says
Thanks, Ginny!
Regarding the L'BRI vs. Cowgirl Dirt, here's a simplistic answer. I personally think the ingredients in Cowgirl Dirt are better than the ones in the L'BRI makeup. The Cowgirl Dirt uses organic, natural ingredients. L'BRI uses good ingredients for the most part, but it's not as pure as the Cowgirl Dirt.
Why would someone choose L'BRI over Cowgirl Dirt? Primarily for performance. The L'BRI products are more professional-looking and perform better (overall) than the Cowgirl Dirt.
So, it depends on what you're looking for. Complete purity, or somewhat pure with better performance? For some people, the choice will be simple–they want a pure product made with organic, all-natural ingredients. And for that, Cowgirl Dirt is excellent. But others prefer a more polished product that performs more like something you'd get from a professional makeup company. And that's where you'd turn to L'BRI . 🙂
If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. 🙂

I should have also pointed out, too, that I love them both. 🙂

Two things, first you look fabulous are you still following THM? Secondly, I looked into LBRI but how do you know which color foundation? I have found my perfect shade in cowgirl dirt, but LBRI is cheaper so I'm intrigued.
Joy Kincaid says
Thank you! Yes, I'm still doing THM, although I need to put some thought into it (I've gotten stuck in a rut of eating the same things over and over again and not switching things up enough). I've only lost 5 lbs total so far, and I'm still hoping to lose 15 more so I need to make a better plan.
I'd love to talk to you about L'BRI. If you want to send me an email at artfulhomemaking {at} gmail {dot} com, I can offer some suggestions about the foundation and answer any questions you may have!

Very pretty. I have been getting into wearing longer skirts but I can't find anything fashionable. The ones at the thrift store are more for older women and I think zulily has high shipping prices. Any other places you get them? I'm almost 30 and like to dress my age lol.
Joy Kincaid says
Thanks! Long (affordable) skirts can be hard to come by (especially cute ones). Sometimes I've seen them at Cato for a decent price. And Ebay can be a good place–I've gotten several from there. Probably Ebay, thrift stores, and Zulily would be the main places I've found them.

I love your style. The scarves are so great. I love scarves, however, AZ doesn't get cooler till later in the year. I love it all. Thank you so much for sharing. I might have to check out the makeup, I have been looking for a new brand. Thank you so much.
Joy Kincaid says
Thank you, Katheryn! I'm originally from Texas, so I know what you mean about it taking longer to get cool. I always waited with anticipation until I could pull out my winter clothes (for a month or two!). 🙂

Aww, thank you, Jennifer! I really appreciate that you took the time to leave me an encouraging comment. I was kind of feeling lonely here! ♥
