Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix

This homemade ranch dressing mix recipe makes a large batch. You can mix this up in bulk and you'll always have ranch dressing mix on hand!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried dill weed
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 1/4 cup dried onion flakes
  • 1/4 cup onion powder
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp dried chives
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix all herbs and spices together in a bowl (or add directly to the jar).
  • Transfer mix to a pint sized mason jar or other container with a lid, and add a label. Keeps for up to 1 year.

To Make Ranch Dip or Dressing

  • Whisk together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup milk (or buttermilk).
  • Add 3 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice, and 1 tbsp. ranch dressing mix. For a thinner dressing, add more milk until dressing is the desired consistency.
  • Store in jar with lid in refrigerator for up to one week.
