Mix all herbs and spices together in a bowl (or add directly to the jar).
Transfer mix to a pint sized mason jar or other container with a lid, and add a label. Keeps for up to 1 year.
To Make Ranch Dip or Dressing
Whisk together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup milk (or buttermilk).
Add 3 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice, and 1 tbsp. ranch dressing mix. For a thinner dressing, add more milk until dressing is the desired consistency.
Store in jar with lid in refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
This recipe makes a fairly thick dressing, so it works really well as-written for a ranch dip. We like to mix up this dip and serve it with sliced vegetables.Sliced cucumbers, carrot sticks, bell pepper slices, radishes—there are so many possibilities for using this dip!If you want your ranch dressing to be a bit thinner, add a bit more milk until the consistency is the way you'd like it.The thinner dressing works well over a lettuce salad. However, we often leave it thick and serve it on our salads just the way it is (we use a spoon so serve it when it's thicker).
