Ingredients

4 ounce
fish filets
any white fish will work

cups
fine cornmeal
1.5
cups
milk
or buttermilk

TBSP
seasoned salt
1/2
tsp
garlic powder
may substitute onion powder
1/2
tsp
black pepper
1/2
cup
refined coconut oil
may substitute all or partially with butter
Instructions
Make sure fish filets are fully thawed and shake off any excess water.
Combine and mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl (I use a Corningware dish).
Put milk in another large bowl (a glass bread pan works well).
Heat oil or butter in skillet over medium heat.
Dip a filet in milk, then roll it in the coating mix until thoroughly covered.
Fry filets in oil about 6 minutes per side. Coating will look partially brown when done.
