Preheat your grill to high heat, 450 to 500 degrees.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and black pepper.
In a large bowl, pour 1/3 cup of sauce over the ground chuck. Mix the ground chuck with the sauce until well combined.
Divide the meat mixture into 6 portions and shape into burgers.
Place the burgers on the grill and cook for 8 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway. Just prior to removing from the grill, brush one side of the burger patties with the sauce mixture. Flip the burgers and brush the second side with the sauce mixture. Flip the burger again and cook until the sauce is caramelized. Repeat as desired.
Serve the burgers on buns with traditional toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pickles or serve with sliced pineapple.
Notes
Serve your burgers hot off the grill on your favorite hamburger buns or brioche buns. If using pineapple, fresh pineapple works better than canned, and you should grill the pineapple before adding it to your burger. For food safety, it’s recommended that burgers reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature. Serve with your favorite side such as cole slaw or fries.
