Whole Wheat Jam Thumbprint Cookies
These whole wheat jam thumbprint cookies are made with freshly milled flour, sweetened with honey, and filled with jam. They're the perfect healthy cookies that are also delicious.

Ingredients

cup
butter
1/2
cup
honey
2
egg yolks
2
teaspoons
vanilla
3
cups
whole wheat pastry flour
1/4
cup
jam of your choice
berry or peach are good
Instructions
In a large bowl, beat together butter and honey. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla. Stir in flour.
Roll dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill until firm, about 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls (about 2 Tablespoons each). Press flat onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Make an imprint in the middle of each cookie and fill with jam or preserves.
Bake for 15 minutes or until done. Allow to cool on baking sheets.
