My kids love to help out with baking recipes, and this is one of their favorites! 

This easy cookie recipe uses just a few ingredients. You can use the jam flavor of your choice. You can even use different flavors to have a variety of cookies!

How to Make Whole Wheat Jam Thumbprint Cookies

  1. In a large bowl, beat together butter and honey.  Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.  Stir in flour.
  2. Roll dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap.  Chill until firm, about 2 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls (about 2 Tablespoons each).  Press flat onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Make an imprint in the middle of each cookie and fill with jam or preserves.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until done.  Allow to cool on baking sheets.
  7. Enjoy!  This is one of our favorite cookie recipes.
