The fall cookies look festive and also delicious. Of course you went off your diet for one . . . or two – they were fresh from the oven. And your crunch on a cookie was sharing in an activity with your still children, children.

Thank you, Karen! I appreciate your way of looking at things…yes, my eating a few cookies was sharing in an activity with my children. That makes it sound quite noble and selfless. 🙂

Good Morning, Joy.
This is all so true…
Our oldest daughter just turned 23 and our "baby" is 5. Sigh…
The cookies are beautiful!
I have the cutters on my counter as I type. But was wondering if you have a favorite dough recipe? And could you share your frosting recipe if you get a quick moment. I love that it does not look too thick.
Fall is my favorite as well!

Hi Kristin!
Wow, 23! My oldest is 14, and I still can't believe that. 🙂
Our dough recipe is in a favorite cookbook. Maybe I can share that recipe sometime. The frosting (decorating icing) recipe is 2 cups confectioner's sugar, 2 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons warm water, and 1 tablespoon light corn syrup (we never have this on hand, so we just substitute honey). Hope that's helpful!
