Everything was quiet and peaceful out in the woods. The leaves were mostly brown and had fallen from the trees. I took a deep breath and instantly felt peace.

I followed my children as they led me to their favorite place. They said it was Christmas Tree Land, because that’s where a group of evergreen trees grow wild. It was absolutely beautiful and peaceful and lovely.
Why don’t I get outside more often? Why don’t I make this a priority?
Life is too busy, and I need to slow down. God’s beautiful creation inspires me, and my children inspire me. I think we would all be better off if we took time to admire God’s handiwork (both nature and children!).
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” ~Colossians 1:16

I feel the same way. I ask myself why don't I go out into the woods each day. But I let "life" get in the way. I feel so at peace in the woods, they are truly a balm for my soul.

You took some lovely photos, you can feel the peace just looking at them.
