Recently I noticed that my makeup brushes looked like they needed to be cleaned. And I realized that I hadn’t cleaned them in maybe forever!

Actually, I know I’ve cleaned them before, but it’s been so long ago that I can’t even remember when that was!

I saw some makeup brush cleaners at the store, but I didn’t want to have to buy a chemical-laden mixture to clean my brushes.

I wanted to make it myself, with natural ingredients!

So, I went in search of a good, effective homemade natural makeup brush cleaner that was made up of ingredients I already had on-hand.

After perusing the recipes out there, I came up with this one that seemed like it would be simple and natural.

I wasn’t sure how my experiment would turn out, but it actually worked!

I decided to make up a small amount and just use it up, rather than make a larger amount that I would have to store.

This recipe will just make enough to clean your brushes one time. But don’t worry, it’s simple to mix it up right before you need it!
