Yesterday I drove the 45 miles into the nearest shopping area so that I could run some needed errands. This is something I don’t do very often, as it takes all day when I do. In fact, I think the last time I went shopping alone (other than local shopping) was about a year ago!
After I had been gone for a few hours I called home just to see how everyone was doing. Daddy held the phone out to each child and they each said, “I love you, Mama!” As I listened to each little voice on the other end of the phone telling me that they loved me, I felt tears coming to my eyes and I almost wished I was back at home! I’m thankful to be a stay-at-home mom. I couldn’t bear to leave them every day.
Here are some photos I took a few weeks ago of our fall garden. Our summer garden didn’t do very well, so my husband re-planted everything, and this second garden has been very productive.

We’ve had lots of green beans (4 different kinds), some okra, corn, a few tomatoes, and tons of zucchini squash. Notice all the grass in the photos? We don’t have time to weed, so it doesn’t look very pretty, but we’ve still been blessed with lots of produce. 🙂

I’m thankful for a husband who loves to garden. 🙂
