The Most Important Business Done on Earth

“The education of children for God is the most important business done on earth.  It is the one business for which the earth exists.  To it all politics, all war, all literature, all money-making, ought to be subordinated, and every parent especially ought to feel every hour of the day, that, next to making his own calling and election sure, this is the end for which he is kept alive by God–this is his task on earth.”                                                                ~R.L. Dabney

The truth in this cannot be more expressed! This week I have had the joy of learning that my little by (my third child) has placed his faith and trust in the Saviour Christ Jesus the Lord! Nothing could be more important than teaching our children of the Lord Jesus, and everything else truly pales in comparison! Thank you for sharing!

Praise the Lord! What wonderful news, Jennifer!

You are so right, and this quote is very sobering (as well as inspiring) to me. What an important role parents have in teaching their children about Jesus, and I wonder how often I forget that this is the most important thing.

Thank you so much for sharing about your son–that is so beautiful! ♥
