Easter Bible Verses for Kids

As a child, I understood that Easter had to do with Jesus’ death and resurrection.

But honestly, Easter baskets and bunnies, colored eggs, and chocolate candy seemed more attractive than thinking about topics like crucifixion and resurrection.

That all changed when I became a Christian at age 16.

Bible verses that had once seemed dry and uninteresting suddenly came alive and spoke directly to my heart and mind!

And when Easter Sunday rolled around each year, I wholeheartedly embraced the good news that Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He rose again on the third day as the conquering Lamb of God.

I now fully understood God’s love and the true meaning of Easter. It’s very rightly called “Resurrection Sunday“!

When my kids were young, reading God’s word out loud to them was a very important part of our family traditions.

And encouraging Bible memorization has always been something I’ve wanted to impress upon my kids’ minds.

Although all of my kids are older now, maintaining a Bible-based, Christ-centered focus at Easter time is still a high priority.

I’ve previously compiled some of the best Easter quotes and Bible verses.

Now, I’ve put together this list of the best Easter Bible verses for kids to help celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After all, the story of Easter is really the story of Jesus!

These beautiful passages would be great Bible verses to read aloud, to memorize, or to use on Easter cards, coloring pages, and crafts at home or in Sunday school.
