Purse Organization

For such a long time, my purse was an organizational disaster.  Lip gloss, receipts, pens, gum, crumpled lists, and other miscellaneous items mingled together at the bottom.  No more!  Now I simply have my wallet (which I’ve had for over 14 years!), this little organizing thing that holds a notebook, pen, and any loose papers I might need,
this cute little zippered pouch that holds makeup items,
and this zippered pouch that holds gum, candy, and spare camera batteries.
I didn’t make these pouches (got them from Etsy with my birthday money), but there are so many wonderful tutorials for making them (here’s one, and here’s one).  I’d love to make one someday.  But for now, I’m really enjoying my neat and orderly purse!

  1. Maria,

I had to laugh when I saw your comment!! The reason I laugh is because right now my purse is a perfect disaster! It isn't the fault of the purse owner, though. My toddler has taken to rifling through my purse on Sunday mornings during church to entertain himself. He likes to go through all the little bags until he finds the one with mints and gum, and then he feels happy when I let him have a piece. Although he usually isn't satisfied with one…and then I have to try to distract him with the pen and notebook to help him forget about the candy! 🙂

Usually after Sunday morning I take the time to put everything back where it belongs, but the past week or two I have been so busy I forgot about it. But the nice thing about having the little organizing things is that everything has a place in my purse. So when I get ready to organize it, it takes about 2 minutes.

    Blessings, Maria!
