Can you guess which curriculum we decided to use?
After much prayer, research, and more prayer, this is what we decided to use for the coming school year:
Anyone else use this?  If you hated it, please don’t tell me!  Although, after over ten years of homeschooling, I completely understand that different things work for different families, and also different seasons.  I’ll share more about our 2012-2013 school choices (including what we chose for math!) soon.

Hi, I'm Joy!

I'm a homemaker and homeschooling mom of 5. For over 25 years I've been cooking from scratch and making homemade bread for my family of 7. I love sharing sourdough recipes, easy dinner ideas, and simple DIY projects for your home.

I REALLY admire people who home school. I think it's incredible and really special to be both a mother and a teacher. All the best with your new curriculum. 🙂

Thank you so much, Hannah. I've known I would want to educate my children at home since I was 16, so it's the fulfillment of a dream for me. I love mothering and teaching them! 🙂

We use it and absolutely love it! I went without it last year and my oldest asked if we could go back to it. I'm so glad because I really like it!

I wasn't very familiar with it, either. I often refer to Sonlight's book lists. There's a lot to love there. 🙂

We're using Teaching Textbooks, too! We've already started using it, and the kids FINALLY love doing math–it's a winner!

Good luck with the new home schooling year. We are going to be resting for a few more weeks yet but I have started my preparation at long last!

    1. Joy Kincaid says:

Thank you, Lily! We are planning to start math soon, but I may not fully delve into our school days until the first week of September. We just have so much going on in August. Enjoy the weeks of resting!

No way, Sally! We're using the same thing?! How fun! 🙂 We'll be using Creation to Christ for my older daughters (11 and 13), Bigger for my 9-year-old, and Little Hearts for my 6 year old (who will be 7 in October).
