Homemade Lollipops

Another item checked off our Summer Bucket List! Making our own homemade lollipops was fun!

These were simple to make and they turned out so beautiful. We used this recipe for homemade suckers—she has a super helpful video that gives you an idea of all the steps.

(Be very careful if you do this with children. The candy mixture gets very hot and there’s the potential for getting burned.)

All the kids agreed that these were the best lollipops they had ever tasted—maybe it’s because they made them! We used a watermelon flavor that we picked up at Walmart.

It was such a quick and satisfying craft that now we’re all inspired to get some molds to make shaped suckers.

We’re thinking heart shapes for Valentine’s would be fun! ♥ But that’s a long time to wait…maybe we’ll choose another shape before then…
