Do you remember this shawl? The one I started back in January 2013? Well, I did finish it, but I never got around to posting photos of it. I loved knitting it through the winter months. I loved looking at those beautiful colors in the yarn.
The pattern is the Simple Yet Effective Shawl, and it was a very simple pattern to knit, even though it seemed like it took me a long time to finish it, and I was surprised by how small it ended up being. It’s almost more like a scarf when you tie it around your neck. But I do love it, and it looks beautiful on my daughter, who modeled it for me. You can find my Ravelry notes here
It just happened that the shawl coordinates beautifully with my favorite Lilla Rose hair sticks (which I’m wearing today)!
Lilla Rose just came out with this beautiful Dusky Plum collection (only available for the month of September) that will also coordinate well with my scarf for the fall and winter months. I don’t often buy myself a Flexi of the Month clip, but I admit that I bought a clip and a headband this month since they’re very much my style!

Joy, your shawl looks wonderful! How funny that I just finished up my very first shawl yesterday! I actually knitted it for my daughter. Now I'm on to one for myself. Looking forward to wearing them this fall/winter.
