The Dress God Gave

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
~Philippians 4:19
It wasn’t a need, really.  It was just something I wanted.
I wanted a “princess dress” for my little daughter, because I knew it was the desire of her heart.
But we couldn’t afford a new one.  I think I had mentioned it in my prayers, but I honestly can’t remember if I had thought to ask for it.
But He heard the desire of my heart, anyway.  And He gave me this dress at the thrift store for under $2.  I couldn’t believe it when I saw it tossed on a pile of boxes.  It was perfect.  The perfect color, perfect size, perfect amount of shininess.
I think she looks beautiful in it.  She’s my little princess.
So thankful for a Father who hears and answers the desires of our hearts.

  2. Your daughter is glowing in her beautiful dress! I love that God answers our needs and even sometimes our wants. The Lord answered my prayers for a want, that was around $100, by tucking it in the corner of the thrift store for my mom to find for $5. And to top it off, it was half price day, so God gave me my want fo $2.50. It's He Good?!
