52 Bible Verses About Fear and How to Overcome It

Life can be scary. Really scary. Sometimes frightening things happen that we just don’t understand. It could be the loss of a loved one, a relationship struggle, or a scary medical diagnosis. No matter what fearful trial you’re facing, let these Bible verses about fear speak to you today.

Bible Verses About Fear

Bible Verses About Fear

Like everyone at one point or another, I’ve gone through some really tough and scary times. Losing my dad, financial struggles, and chronic health issues are just some of the fear-inducing life events I’ve faced.

Honestly, I don’t know how I would have made it through these trials (some of which I’m still enduring) without a personal relationship with God.

Being a Christian doesn’t make life easy (in some ways, it may actually make it harder) but it definitely makes life more meaningful. Knowing that the God who created this universe cares deeply about every detail of your life gives comfort and hope when everything else seems overwhelmingly hopeless.

If you’re struggling with fear today, take heart!  Even when you can’t feel His presence, God promises to be near to those who call upon Him.

God speaks to us through His written word, the Bible.  Although we should rely on the Bible at all times, God’s word is particularly comforting during times of trials, pain and discouragement.

Keep reading to find out what the Bible says about fear and anxiety.

For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
