Homemaker’s Friend 2014 Daily Planner {Giveaway!}
Back in May, Sue Hooley contacted me and asked if I’d like to review her Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner. When I went to her website and took a look at the planners, I jumped at the chance to review them! And let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed!
(2013 Planner)
I’ve been using this planner for about 6 months now, and I really love it. I use it in conjunction with my homemaking binder, and it works very well. I’m a list-maker, and the simple design of this planner is very appealing to me.
The planner has tabs along the side so you can easily find the different sections. There’s a section for year, month, week, tasks, projects, info, and shopping.
I also love the Bible verses and inspirational quotes throughout the book. I love the lay-flat spiral binding, too. The planner begins in December, so if you buy one now you can go ahead and start using it!
Every week I list the tasks (goals) I hope to accomplish for that week on the section of the weekly page that says “Tasks List.” This allows me to think through the coming week and establish priorities. Then I can break down the larger goals into smaller steps to work on each day of the week so that I can hopefully accomplish my weekly goals.
Another really neat feature of the planner is the shopping lists. The sections are perforated so you can tear off your shopping list before you go to the store–very handy!
If you’re looking for a way to organize your days, I highly recommend this planner. I already have the 2014 one (which is beautiful, by the way), so you know which planner I’ll be using come December and on into the new year!
Today you have a chance to win a 2014 daily planner! Enter the giveaway through the Rafflecopter form below (giveaway limited to residents of the U.S. only). Don’t want to wait for the giveaway? Buy one here.
I don't use a planner right now, but sometimes I will write out the things I want done that day 🙂 The planner on this post seems like it would really work though!

I have this 2013 planner and I really like how it is setup…the only thing I don't like is the color! 🙂 I am a very visual type person, so honestly the brown color wasn't my favorite. The 2014 color is beautiful however!!

I currently use a planner I bought at Walmart last year, I really like that it has a "Meal Plan" section for each week. I cant seem to find the same one again this year though
I don't currently use a planner. I've been wanting to make one, but this would be so much easier.
I don't have an official planner. I just use a notepad or book and a mini calendar. It would be nice to have an actual planner.
I need a planner like this, especially for meal planning. – Danielle F
This planner looks great!
I have used Homemaker's friend planner for 2013 and really like it. I also have used just a calendar in the past, and lots of sticky notes! That wasn't too organized and quite cluttered.
This is beautiful! I used to use the Franklin Planner when I did Party Plan sales, but then just made lists on random pieces of paper the last couple of years…REALLY bad idea! I would love to get back to using a planner, and this one's a beauty!
I use a planner for homeschooling and then I have a separate one for billing and budgeting.
I use a daily planner and I love it!

yes- I use this exact planner 🙂

This planner looks beautiful and very versatile. I currently use a calendar on the wall.
I've been using the Confident Mom's daily planner this past year. 🙂
I haven't used a planner since college apart from sharing a Google calendar with my husband. I could *really* benefit from one!
I love using a planner. This one looks lovely!
I make it a point to purchase a planner every year. This one is beautiful! I love the peaceful photos and the Scripture!!!
I have a pocket plannerin my purse, otherwise I get all out of sorts. Melissa
I kinda, sorta use my iPad calendar, but that's all. Everything else is on loose scraps of paper.
I have to print out weekly calendars! Would love this planner.
I currently don't have a daily planner but I so need one!
I want a daily planner but right now I am just using a small notebook.
I have used a planner in the past but not currently. Debbie D.
I don't have a day planner, but I desperately need to start using one!
I use a daily planner
I still use a day planner, much to the amusement of my tech-savvy coworkers. I highlight different family members with different colors (I am pink, hubby is blue, daughter is lavender, son 1 is orange, son 2 is yellow) really helps keep track of appointments, work schedules, and activities. Anyway, would LOVE to win this one. LOVE the scriptures throughout!
I don't currently use a planner. I generally use a to-do list app on my phone, but I've always loved using pen and paper.
I do use a daily planner and love the organization it offers. I have been looking at this planner for some time now and would love to win! Thanks for this giveaway! 🙂
I DON'T currently use a planner for myself & as my babies get bigger & our days get busier, I'm beginning to think I need one! We have a dry erase wall calendar on our kitchen wall that I love, but it only shows the current month & I often need to write things down happening next month or several months away- i think this would be perfect for me to keep up with everything I need to!
I love the idea of the tasks list for the whole week, instead of for each day! I can't also do specific things on specific days, so just seeing what I need to get done that week helps!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter the give-away.
I do use a planner. I like the ones that allow you to plan the week, but also give
the view of the whole month. Couldn't live without one!
Right now I just use a printable homeschool planner. I would love to have one that I can use for the house!
Currently I make lists of my daily and weekly tasks on index cards.

Such an amazing planner! Love the layout and the scriptures throughout!
