Tied in a Knot

Last Friday I went out on a date with my husband.  The first time we had been out completely alone together in a long time (for a long time we were taking our nursing baby with us everywhere).  I wanted to do something different and yet simple with my hair.  So I just tied it in a knot.
I simply gathered two sections from the sides and tied them together.  And it stayed that way until I was ready to take it down right before bed.  Simple, easy, and comfortable.
My husband liked it.
And we had a great time together, talking (without interruption!) while we shared a pumpkin shake.  Bliss.  ðŸ™‚

  1. Thank you all so much for your sweet comments!!

    Jacinda,
Yes, these are my own curls (my parents both have curly hair, too)…most days I'd trade them in for straight hair…I'd love to just be able to get up and brush my hair and have it look neat! 🙂

    Nancy and Rashel,
I'll try not to envy you…I haven't been away overnight with my husband in years! Maybe someday. 🙂 It is so marriage-building to be able to get away together even for a short time. Yes, we do end up talking about the children, but then we always come back so refreshed and with renewed vision.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Very lovely and your hair is very similar to mine, curls and length! I really like the knot. Hubby and I get to have a 4 day getaway soon, I'm looking forward to the time alone; but I'll miss my children terribly.
    Blessings,
    Rashel

  3. I have curl envy right now. I like the knot! I wonder what you talked about with your husband uninterrupted…possibly the children ? 😉
I am glad you had a good time. God bless.

  4. I am sooo happy for you 🙂 It is go good to go on a date with our husband. We also had one two weeks ago. My mother stayed home with the youngest one and we went for the night in the RV. It was FUN!
Your hair are beautiful, curly, I love it!
    Have a wonderful weekend 🙂

  5. Beautiful! I love it! =) I'll have to try this, but my hair is straight, so I'm not sure if it will stay put. (Your curls are gorgeous, by the way!)
    Blessings,
    Annie

You are blessed with very beautiful hair, my friend.
You only need to do something simple with your golden locks 🙂
