Decorating With Scripture

I love decorating with Bible verses.  It can be such an encouragement to get a glimpse of God’s Word as we go through our days.
Here is a simple little project I did last year.  All you need is a white plate and some stickers that have a transparent background.
I found this plate at a discount store for just $1.50, and someone gave me the stickers, so it was very inexpensive to make.
You could also use other dishes for this project.  Here are some possibilities that I found at a thrift store:
I simply cut around the sticker, decided where I wanted it to be on the plate, and stuck it down.  Super easy!

Another very simple and inexpensive idea is to print off a Bible verse in a nice font.  Here are some printable Bible verses that are free to use:
This one, from JES, at Strangers & Pilgrims on Earth, is so lovely!  Go here to find her post and the printable.
Mandy, at Biblical Homemaking, created this wonderful printable.  I think it’s a verse every family could benefit from.  Go here to find her post and download the printable.
I love Psalm 100, and this printable from Dear Lillie is so lovely.  Go here to download it.
Do you decorate with Scripture?  What’s your favorite way to include it in your decor?

  1. I never knew you could do this but that plate is really cute idea! I will keep and eye out for a plate at a thrift store. Thanks for sharing this idea!!!

  2. I think I may have to print out the soft answer print and frame it. That's a reminder I certainly need. One of my favorite ways is a picture frame with scrapbook paper, fabric, or wrapping paper in the back ground and then writing our memory verse in white board marker on the glass. Of course I LOVE the stuff my husband has made too. You can check it out here if you want to: http://www.thehavenenterprises.com/ He's been doing door frames engraved with scripture.

    1. I really want to print that one, too. I like your idea with the scrapbook paper–I want to try that! Going to check out your husband's door frames–thanks for sharing!

    2. Thank you *smile* There are lots of great inexpensive ways to put scripture up in your home, but we are trying to create family heirlooms to be handed down from one generation to the next. So it's more of a purposefully investment.
On a different note, I've been looking at all the lovely lilla rose hair stuff. I look forward to getting some when the budge allows *grin*

    3. The items your family is selling would certainly be treasured heirlooms!

I love Lilla Rose! If you ever have any questions about sizing, etc., feel free to send me an email!

Hope you have a great weekend, Christina! 🙂
