You Are Qualified

“Show me a mother with an enduring love for her children and I’ll show you a mother who meets the requirements for home teaching.  With love comes the self-sacrifice, daily discipline, kindness, patience, and determination needed to set her children’s feet on the paths of righteousness, skill, and knowledge.  She who sows seeds by home teaching, over time will reap the fruits of her labor.”

~Karen Andreola, Lessons at Blackberry Inn
Home education is about relationship.  It’s about love.  And if you have that, you meet the requirements for teaching your children at home.  You are qualified.

  1. Thank you, Joy, for sharing these beautiful words! I'm surrounded by only public & private schoolers in our church. Eyebrows raise and tongues wag when I mention the idea of homeschooling our first child who is on the way. Still, God has put it on my heart and I am not deterred. I'm so excited about this new experience of motherhood after waiting SO long.

    1. Hi Sarah!

Congratulations on your new expected baby! That would be so hard to be alone in your decision to homeschool. Don't let go of your desire!

      Blessings,
      Joy
