Busy Days

This little bird house hangs from our clothesline and a little wren family lives in it. If you click on the picture to make it larger, you can see the little wren just peeking out, wondering what I was doing!

I love hanging laundry on the line, and lately it has been so hot that it doesn’t take long for it to dry.
This week we made a new schedule and we started it today. It has been such a productive day. We did everything we wanted to do for our school time, and supper is in the slow cooker. I even had time to sew! Hopefully later this week I will have pictures I can post of my new dress.

Everyone’s favorite part of the schedule was our nature walk. We have this on the schedule for every day that the weather will allow. The children all look forward to it. Today we decided to go for a walk in the pasture. The girls took their backpacks along with granola bars and water for snacks.

We saw so many butterflies. I wanted to get a picture of one, but they never would land! We also saw some scissor-tailed flycatchers that like to hunt in the field. They are really beautiful birds. They didn’t want to sit still for a picture, either!
Then the horses spied us and started running towards us. In the end, they decided it wasn’t worth the effort and decided to continue their meal.

It was a busy but beautifully productive day!
