The Little Rabbit {Before Five in a Row}

The Little Rabbit is such an adorable book, and I think it was one of our favorite Before Five in a Row books!

The Little Rabbit

About a month ago, we finished reading The Little Rabbit for our Before Five in a Row study.
Such an incredibly cute book full of beautiful photos!
And in addition to The Little Rabbit, we also read The Little Lamb,
Oh, my goodness, these books are so precious!  I’m so glad that we were able to read these together.  My son was delighted with the stories, and they really held his attention.
This past spring, we got our own three little baby bunnies.
The children named them Fluffy, Buttercream, and Oreo.
We had so much fun with them, and it was the perfect real-life connection for the book.

The Little Rabbit Sensory Tray

After reading the book, I made this sensory tray which was inspired by the one at Homeschool Creations.
We just happened to have the same rabbit hutch and some rabbits, so it seemed like it would be perfect. I set it up and just left it for my little one to find.  When he saw it, he said, “Is this for me?  Did you make this for me?”  And then he played with it for a long time, putting the rabbits in their hutch and making them talk. (Soooo sweet!!)
Sensory Tray Supplies:
We again used the free printables from HomeschoolShare and Homeschool Creations.
And I was so thrilled when my husband found these bunny fruit snacks at the discount grocery store for only 50 cents!  These were much-enjoyed!

    1. Hi Katrina! I don't honestly know for sure where the rabbit hutch came from (it was a Christmas gift last year), but I think I've seen them on Amazon and Ebay before (often Ebay is the cheapest). The brand is Schleich (hopefully I'm spelling it right), and you can also find the figures at quite a few online toy stores and also they sell them at our local feed store! Hope that helps!
