We Finally Made a Decision

Can you guess which curriculum we decided to use?
After much prayer, research, and more prayer, this is what we decided to use for the coming school year:
Anyone else use this?  If you hated it, please don’t tell me!  Although, after over ten years of homeschooling, I completely understand that different things work for different families, and also different seasons.  I’ll share more about our 2012-2013 school choices (including what we chose for math!) soon.

    1. Amy, thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. It's so encouraging to hear from other families who use HOD and enjoy it. Thanks for the encouragement!

  2. We just started using Beyond with my 6 year old. We love it so far! The history books are great and I love that she's learning how to read using the Beginner's Bible. She actually begs to read "her Bible" several times a day. 🙂 I'm looking forward to all of the read-alouds. I've been doing some "previewing" because I just can't resist the temptation. I just found your blog from the Wise Woman blog and I'm in love!!! I can't wait to read more. Blessings to you!!

    1. I'm so glad to hear that you're liking HOD so far, Rebecca! I've gone through each of the 3 guides we'll be using (page by page), and yesterday I made a schedule to see how we would fit it all in. I'm very excited to get started.

Thank you so much for your kind words about my blog, and blessings to you also!

  3. I REALLY admire people who home school. I think it's incredible and really special to be both a mother and a teacher. All the best with your new curriculum. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Hannah. I've known I would want to educate my children at home since I was 16, so it's the fulfillment of a dream for me. I love mothering and teaching them! 🙂

  4. I have never even heard of this program. I love Sonlight, but this looks like something to look into. Thanks so much for sharing!

    1. Thank you, Lily! We are planning to start math soon, but I may not fully delve into our school days until the first week of September. We just have so much going on in August. Enjoy the weeks of resting!
