Creativity

Long summer days have arrived, and most of our school books are finished. Those who worked diligently through the year now have free time, and the others are doing a bit of school work here and there each day, trying to get finished. 🙂
I love seeing the creative projects my children find to keep themselves busy. From artwork and making doll clothes to baking and bike riding. I so much prefer to see them reading a book or creating something than being passively entertained (which is always a temptation).
I thought this was the cutest little first aid kit that my two youngest made. They found this little box and filled it with band-aids and cotton balls. Whenever someone gets hurt, my youngest runs to find his first aid kit. So cute!

Tomorrow I have a looooong day at the orthodontist office, so I’m enjoying a day at home today.
What’s keeping you busy these days?

  1. My family actually started school already, which gives us a suuuuper long Thanksgiving/Christmas/New years break, so that's been occupying my life!

My younger siblings are all starting school, so I am their "culinary arts" professor, while my sister teaches langue and math. It's pretty fun… although very tiring with my siblings! Especially with a one-year-old, a potty-training two year old, and a eccentric five year old, and a very, what would you call it, smart-al-aky six year old.

Man, that can really get you behind in school with them all! But praise God I've got an older sister to help with the load! My mom busy with the newest child, so she's their in the living room feeding her while my sister and I are chasing crazy wild kiddos around the house! But some how, they all end up in bed the same time… and in the same place! ^_^ It's a lively blessing, living in my home it is.

    1. Thanks for sharing what's going on at your house! Sounds like you're staying busy with your younger siblings! 🙂

That's a great idea to start school now and then take a long break later. We've done that before and it was really nice to have the break at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Blessings to you and your family!
