What I Wore + Goals

It’s finally getting a bit cooler! I was so excited to pull out my scarves and sweaters again. Last Sunday I wore a sweater, a denim vest, and boots. It was so cozy, until the afternoon when it heated up considerably—and then I was hot under all those layers!
What I Wore
Black Knit Ruffle Skirt: Zulily
Black Ruffle Top:  Thrifted
Coral Cardigan:  DownEast
Denim Vest:  Maurices
Coral and White Chevron Scarf:  Local Store for $2!
It was Pastor Appreciation Sunday last week, so we had a little celebration in honor of our pastor and his family.
The decorations were beautiful, and the food was delicious! It was a sweet day of fellowship. ♥
The dessert table, with homemade blackberry cobbler and an ice cream bar…
Table decorations: real leaves, acorns, and fall flowers in tin cans…

Goals Progress

Here are the goals I shared last week and the progress I made on them:

Marriage:
  • Date with husband.
Mothering:
  • Do something special with each child individually. We made some wonderful memories together this week!
Homemaking:
  • Make some more elderberry syrup.
  • Organize one area of the kitchen.
  • Finish sewing one dress for my daughter.
Homeschool:
  • Have art time Monday morning. This is something new I’ve been doing each week with my three younger children, and they all three LOVE it!
Personal:
  • Finish reading one book.
  • Exercise 3 days this week.
  • Be in bed by 11:00 every night. Nope. Didn’t happen. 🙂
Still Time to Register for the Homemaking Conference!

There’s still time to register for the online Homemaking Conference! I’ve had a chance to watch several of the video sessions, and the ones I’ve watched have been so encouraging! You can watch them while you cook or fold laundry—the conference lends itself well to multi-tasking. 🙂 Be sure to get your ticket by Monday night if you want the sale price!

  1. I love what you wore. You and I seem to have a similar shape and it is nice to see outfit ideas I can actually try myself! I enjoy your list as well. I'm a list maker and it is fun to see other's hopes and aspirations 🙂 Found you over at Modest Mom and signing up as a new follower 🙂
