Planning for 2015 + Top Ten Posts From 2014

Life has been busier than ever since Christmas. I’ve been really working diligently to get back on schedule and be more intentional with my time. It has been hard, but so worth it. And I still have a long way to go, but I feel happy about each little seed that is planted day by day.
One thing that I’ve been working on is making sure to have one-on-one time with each child once a week. Even though we’re all here at home together day after day, it can be easy to let each day go by without really connecting in a meaningful way. This week I played games with two of my children, helped my oldest daughter start a new knitting project (which she’s almost done with), colored and read books with my youngest, and baked cookies with my oldest son (who never gets time in the kitchen since he has two older sisters who love to cook!).
After taking a break from it for much of last year, I decided to start back up on Trim Healthy Mama. My weight and my blood sugar were giving me trouble after too much of this during the holidays:
I’m really loving being back on the plan. My blood sugar does so much better when I stay away from sugar (even in its natural form).
I’ve also been making other plans for 2015, including blog planning. As I look back over the past year, I thought I would share some of the most popular posts from 2014. Here they are:

  1. Homemade Coconut Mint Toothpaste
  2. Pottery Barn Inspired Girls’ Bedroom on a Budget
  3. A Chore System That Works
  4. My Testimony
  5. My First Shawl
  6. 31 Days of Living on Less (Series)
  7. Make Your Bedroom a Haven
  8. Organize Your Closet
  9. Create a Capsule Wardrobe
  10. What We Wore {Wedding Edition}
And the most popular post of all continues to be the Make Your Own Mason Jar Soy Candles Tutorial!
I have so many thoughts about blogging swirling around in my brain. I originally planned to take an extended blogging break for the first part of this year, just like I did last year, as that was a very blessed decision. But it hasn’t quite worked out that way, and instead, I have a couple of fun reviews, a giveaway, and some DIY posts coming up!

  1. Well, I for one, am glad you are not taking a blogging break. Call me selfish. You are always an inspiration and give me the gentle nudge I need….like 1:1 time with each one. That is my goal too.
    Warmly,
    Carol
