Overwhelmed: Hope and Help for the Financially Weary {Giveaway!}

I was so thankful for the opportunity to review Overwhelmed: Hope and Help for the Financially Weary.  I wasn’t sure how I was going to find the time to read it (it’s pretty long), but after I started reading I couldn’t stop!  

The beginning of this book is filled with testimonies of God’s faithfulness in providing for families who were in the midst of severe financial crisis.  The testimonies alone make Overwhelmed worth reading.  I was so encouraged by these stories, and they reminded me of all the financial miracles my husband and I have experienced personally.

Some of you may remember how our family went through numerous financial challenges last fall and winter, and we still haven’t completely recovered from those.  Hospital and emergency room bills for two family members, several home repairs requiring immediate attention, and raising a larger-than-average family on a smaller-than-average income all adds up to financial stress. But God is so good and He has always provided for us.  And many times, he’s used the faithfulness of others to bless us in the midst of our need.  This book reminded me of all the generous and loving friends in our life, and filled me with gratitude for them!

Overwhelmed is such an encouragement if you’re going through financial hardships or difficulties of any kind. In addition to the testimonies, it is also packed full of advice, practical help, and wisdom for working your way out of debt and living within your means.
