The best things in life are free. Holding hands with your husband, a kiss on the cheek from your five-year-old, jumping into a pile of leaves on a crisp autumn afternoon. Sometimes we just have to open our eyes to all the beauty that surrounds us in an ordinary day. Here are a few things I’m thankful for today:
  1. colorful autumn leaves
  2. orange pumpkins
  3. acorns
  4. warm socks
  5. a clean bedroom
  6. reading picture books with my five-year-old
Hope you have a great weekend!

Thank you, Joy for writing this series on living on less. The best things in life really are free and I am so thankful for my wonderful family and every moment spent with them! Today was the perfect fall day and we enjoyed the pumpkin orchard, eating caramel apples, baking cookies, and playing outside! P.S. Your kitty is beautiful! What's it's name?

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Sara! It sounds like you've had a wonderful fall day!

Our kitty adopted us last summer, and her name is Mittens. I know, that's very original, isn't it?! We thought she looked like she was wearing mittens, so that's how we picked her name. She's a seal point siamese, and we're thankful she came to live with us!
