February seems like the perfect time to focus on love.
This year, I decided to spend the whole month on the topic.  We’re working on memorizing 1 Corinthians 13 (I memorized it years ago, but I wanted my children to have it hidden in their hearts, too.).  We made a poster with 1 Corinthians 13 written out on it, and then we decorated it with glitter and sponge-painted hearts.  It hangs in the dining room, where we can review it often, and be reminded of what true love really is.
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.  It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.”
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
“Love never ends.”
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
And the greatest love of all is that Jesus would come and die for us so that we might have eternal life with Him!  And that’s what I want to communicate to my children.  It’s all about love.  Love for God and love for others.

♥”God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”♥
~Romans 5:8
