Honey glazed salmon with asparagus is one of those meals that feels special but is surprisingly easy to pull together. It’s the perfect weeknight meal when you want something fresh and flavorful without spending a lot of time in the kitchen.

The salmon fillets turn tender and flaky in the oven while the honey glaze adds just the right balance of sweetness and savory flavor.

Roasting everything on one pan keeps things simple, and the asparagus and tomatoes cook right alongside the fish for an easy, complete meal.

My favorite part is how everything comes together in about 30 minutes with very little cleanup. It’s a simple dinner that still feels fresh, wholesome, and satisfying.

  • Cherry tomatoes: Bring a pop of color and a little natural sweetness.
  • Honey: The base of the glaze, adding a touch of sweetness.

How to Make Honey-Glazed Salmon with Asparagus

Here are the step-by-step instructions for making this honey-glazed salmon with asparagus recipe:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Step 2: Add the asparagus and cherry tomatoes to the sheet pan (Photo 1). Trim the woody ends of the asparagus if needed. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper, then toss to coat.

Step 3: Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.

Step 4: In a small bowl, combine honey, melted butter, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well mixed (Photo 2).

Step 5: Make space on the baking sheet and place salmon filets down, making sure they are not sitting on top of the vegetables (Photo 3).

Step 6: Brush the glaze generously over each salmon filet, coating the tops and sides. If there is extra glaze, you can lightly brush it over the vegetables (Photo 4).

Step 7: Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and the asparagus is tender.

Step 8: Switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 2 minutes, watching closely so it doesn’t burn.

Step 9: Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Tips for Success

  • Use similar-sized salmon filets so they cook evenly.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan so everything roasts properly.
  • Watch closely when broiling to prevent burning.
  • Adjust cooking time as needed depending on the thickness of the salmon.

How to Store

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days.
  • Reheat gently in the oven or microwave until warmed through. For best texture, avoid overcooking when reheating.

You could also add a side of rice, mashed potatoes, sourdough cheddar biscuits, or buttermilk dinner rolls.
