Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls Ingredients
Find the full list of ingredients, amounts, and instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Butter: You’ll use softened salted butter for this recipe.
- Peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter is what you’ll need.
- Confectioners’ sugar: Also known as powdered sugar.
- Graham cracker crumbs: Finely crushed graham crackers combine with peanut butter and sugar to make the balls.
- Milk: I prefer whole milk for this recipe.
- Milk chocolate chips: You’ll dip the peanut butter balls into melted milk chocolate chips. You can use dark chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate chips for a less sweet treat.
- White melting wafers: These white melting wafers are optional if you want white drizzle icing over the balls.
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
- In a medium mixing bowl, add the softened butter and peanut butter (a.). Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, mix on medium speed until combined (b.).
- Add the graham cracker crumbs and confectioners’ sugar (c.). Mix on medium speed until combined. The mixture should be crumbly.
- Add the milk and mix to incorporate. The mixture should be thick and no longer crumbly (d.).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using your hands, take about 1 tbsp of dough and roll it into a ball. Place peanut butter ball on the lined baking sheet (e.) and repeat with the remaining dough.
- Place the dough balls in the freezer to harden for 15 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a small saucepan on low, or in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth (f.).
- Remove the dough balls from the freezer. Working one dough ball at a time, dip the ball in the melted chocolate. Use a fork to move the ball around, ensuring it’s fully coated (g.). Lift the ball with the fork and gently tap it against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Transfer back to the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining dough balls (h.).
- Place the baking sheet back in the freezer for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
- (Optional) Melt the white melting wafers in a small saucepan or in a bowl in the microwave until smooth. Drizzle the melted wafers onto the chocolate-covered peanut butter balls using a piping bag or a spoon. Set aside for 5 minutes to harden.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, enjoy!
