This easy grain free granola recipe is delicious and addictive! With natural sweeteners, this homemade granola is the perfect breakfast recipe!

grain free granola

We’ve been making homemade granola at our house for many years. My kids love it when I pull a pan of granola out of the oven.

They love it for a snack as well as a healthy breakfast!

For the past several years we’ve been branching out and trying new recipes without grains. We were thrilled that you can make delicious granola without the oats.

Grain Free Granola

This easy granola recipe features so many healthy and delicious ingredients.

It’s filled with a variety of nuts, coconut flakes, chia seeds, coconut oil, and sweetened with honey or maple syrup.

You can also add optional dried fruit or chocolate chips.

It tastes delicious when eaten as a traditional granola, with milk or nut milk poured over it (we usually use almond milk).

Or, you can also use it as a delicious topper for your yogurt. It’s a very versatile recipe to have on-hand!

Grain Free Granola Recipe

Here’s our favorite grain free granola recipe ever! It’s easy to make and very forgiving.

As I mentioned above, this is a very versatile and easy homemade granola recipe.

If you don’t have some of the ingredients listed above, it’s pretty simple to make substitutions.

For example, you can use any combination of nuts and seeds that you have on-hand.

You can use a combination of honey and maple syrup.

If you don’t have shredded coconut, you can just add more coconut flakes and it will turn out fine.

There are a number of add-in options you can try: chocolate chips, other flavors of chips, or lots of different dried fruits.

This would make a GREAT idea for a gift ‘jar’!
Just chop the nuts (or leave them whole), place all of the dry ingredients (including the add ins you want) in the jar, add a small jar of coconut oil, small bottle of real maple syrup, some homemade vanilla extract, and put them in a nice basket with direction and decorate it and there you go!
I’m going to do this for my mom, who, against doctor directions, makes granola with grains a LOT. Give her a healthy substitute!

Me, too! She is not really big on “healthy” and has made a regular granola for years, despite her doctor’s objections. I thought maybe if I could make her the basket and she made it with healthy ingredients, she might find a new favorite granola!!!

Have you tried using cocoa nibs in place of the chocolate chips?

I haven’t, but I’m sure that would be a great addition!
